WHY NTB?
Turkey’s Current Situation as of 2025, Structural Challenges, and the Need for a United Front
TURKEY’S CURRENT SITUATION (2025)
As of 2025, in Turkey:
Over 130,000 associations,
Over 5,300 cooperatives,
Over 1,750 foundations are actively operating.
Despite this quantitative growth:
Approximately 72% of these organizations operate solely at the local level.
78–80% face sustainability issues regarding a regular revenue model, corporate governance, and long-term financing.
The rate of horizontal collaboration between organizations remains low.
This picture clearly highlights the lack of a scalable mechanism for collaboration among social, economic, and production-oriented structures in Turkey.
KEY INDICATORS WITH UP-TO-DATE 2025 DATA
Youth unemployment rate (2025): 17.6%
(Despite increased labor force participation among the youth population, sustainable job creation remains insufficient.)
Share of SMEs in total businesses: 99.8%
Approximately 91% of these are micro-scale businesses.
The majority of micro-businesses operate independently, with limited capacity for exports and joint project development.
Only 13–14% of NGOs are engaged in active, measurable, and sustainable partnerships.
68–70% of cooperatives lack
effective marketing,
digital commerce,
branding, and
International connectivity
infrastructure.
These data confirm that the issue is not temporary but structural and systematic.
CHALLENGES AND THE NEED FOR STRATEGIC SOLUTIONS (2025)
Key problem areas in Turkey as of 2025:
Lack of institutionalized collaboration among cooperatives, SMEs, and local producers,
Institutions struggling to survive through individualistic reflexes,
Insufficiency of joint production, joint marketing, and joint export models,
Limited availability of sustainable employment and entrepreneurship models targeting the young population,
Disconnect between social structures, commercial actors, and investment channels.
As long as this structure persists;
Turkish producers will continue to lose their competitive edge in the global market,
Local values will not be scalable,
Social development will not translate into economic value.
NTB’S POSITION AND DIFFERENCE BEYOND 2025
NTB – Newline Trade Business Platform, as of 2025:
Brings together the trade, production, investment, NGO, and entrepreneurship ecosystems under a single umbrella,
Project-based, measurable, and results-oriented,
A new-generation collaboration platform that is digital and open to national and international access.
NTB’s key distinction lies in
establishing a system that coordinates fragmented structures and transforms individual efforts into collective value.
2025–2030 STRATEGIC GOALS
Establishing regional Power Alliance and Coordination Centers in all 81 provinces,
Implementing joint projects with over 500 institutions, cooperatives, and businesses,
Providing direct employment, education, and entrepreneurship support to over 50,000 people,
Integrating local producers and SMEs into export, e-commerce, and international trade networks,
Expanding Turkey’s production capacity through branding and shared value chains.
CONCLUSION: WHY IS NTB NECESSARY FOR TURKEY IN 2025?
NTB is;
A strategic national development platform that unites Turkey’s fragmented strengths,
Directs institutions toward collaboration rather than competition,
Integrates social development with economic sustainability
as a strategic national development platform.
By 2025, NTB is not an option;
but a structural necessity for Turkey’s collective growth.
